Medical Update
We were able to bring Joanna home from the hospital to her house last night. Hard to believe it's only been a week since her surgery. Seems more like a month, anyway. She had a terrible time with the pain medications they were giving her. They finally found something that helps the pain without making her really sick. The physical therapist has already been to her house today and worked with her. She has a lot of recovering to do, but we're confident she'll do fine. I've never known anyone with as much spirit and fight as that kid has. (And I can call her that, because she's my kid and always will be.)

Good news!
Glad you got her out of that hospital and to a place where she can get some decent care. I know she'll do fine now.
Good to hear, James. Prayers and positive thoughts continue from this corner. Please convey my best wishes to all.
Hi James,
It's great to hear that your daughter is doing better. I hope she continues to recover quickly. Best wishes to you and your family.
Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear it's good news.
You can't keep a fighter down. Continued success.
Praying for your whole family George. You folks are among the best walking the planet and I mean that.
I've been following her progress on Livia's posts - it was awful but sadly not surprising that they put her on pain meds and then kind of dropped the ball afterwards. Same things happened to my mother when they gave her Dilaudid. Even after she started to have hallucinations they didn't bother to investigate that perhaps it was the drug. They blamed it on dementia - which she doesn't have. Anyway, glad Joanna's home.
Great news, Mr. Reasoner! Best wishes to your daughter for a full and speedy recovery.
Excellent news. I was finding it hard to read and comment on because my mother (granted, she was 86) went in for supposedly minor surgery last month and never got out of the hospital.
I'm really happy she's out and home and I hope her recovery continues apace.

Very good, very good. I'm so glad to hear it.
You are all still in our thoughts. One day at a time, and they steadily but surely add up.
These are good news, James. Here's my warmest wishes to your family!
Working my way through Vicodin right now and it has my sleep completely screwed up. Hope she's doing better with whatever she's taking. Thinking of the Reasoner family.
