Somebody's Zero Key Stuck

There's a used copy of HUNT AT THE WELL OF ETERNITY listed on Amazon for $1000.00. That's right, a cool grand. Heck, if you're interested, I know places where you can beat that price and get a copy for, oh, say, $995.00. I'm just sayin' . . .

I hope it was a signed copy.

I don't know what goes on here. I've seen it before though. About a year ago, I bought an old DVD of a Lee Van Cleef spaghetti western for $28 and thought it high. Last week, they had a copy listed at $119. Two weeks ago that same disc carried a $600 price. Who knows?

I just saw that!

Don't get me wrong ... your story-telling is worth what the market will bear, James ...

... but a solid grand? Sorry. Well out of *my* budget range!

(That being said, I just bought a paperback copy for significantly less -- closer to $5. Hope that doesn't make me a cheapskate!)

Someone has Darwyn's Cook's adaptation of The Hunter listed for a cool grand, as well, and I just used the phrase a cool grand in my post about it on my blog before I saw this post. I think I can wait until july to get my copy for $17 bucks, though.

Bad news. The price on that one book has dropped a penny.

It's the same seller that has the Darwyn Cooke graphic novel for $999.99.
