Saturday Morning Western Pulp: Frontier Stories, January 1931
A simple but effective cover on this issue of the long-running Fiction House pulp. And an excellent group of writers inside, too, including Harry F. Olmsted, Walt Coburn, J.E. Grinstead, and Tom J. Hopkins.

My favorite years for FRONTIER were the years 1924-1929 when Doubleday was the publisher. They used the same authors that made SHORT STORIES such an interesting magazine.
They tried an experiment for several issues by printing FRONTIER in the large 8 1/2 by 11 inch format but it must have not worked out.
