Regular readers of this blog know that I'm a fan of the novels of Leonard F. Meares, the late Australian author of hundreds of Westerns, mostly under the name Marshall Grover. A new and excellent article about Meares by David Whitehead can be found on the new edition of Black Horse Extra. Whitehead is a fine Western author in his own right and knew Len Meares quite well. In this article he discusses not only Meares' early career but also the final books that Len wrote for the Black Horse Western line in England.
Speaking of Black Horse Westerns, there are now two websites devoted to the line. The Black Horse Express can now be found here, along with links to websites for many of the authors who write BHWs. All these sites are well worth checking out for Western fans.

That link was really good. It's a shame, that I didn't found any information about Dave Mathewson. But thanks!
