Storm of the Century

Of course, the century's pretty young yet.

Yesterday the weather forecast said we might get an inch or two of snow. Right now we have nine inches on the ground and it's still falling. To many of you, that's not much. But this is the second deepest snow I've seen in my lifetime. Yeah, it's pretty, but I still don't like it.

Yikes. We were supposed to drive up to ConDFW tomorrow, but now I'm doubtful.

We don't get snow too often here, and normally I look forward to it.. But it has chosen to do it on a day I have to walk to work the next two days.. so I'm not too happy about it..

Still maybe a good time to take some pictures!

Bill,
The roads might be all right by the time you'd get up here, but it'll all depend on how much it warms up tomorrow. Might be wise to do some checking before you leave. Saturday it's supposed to be sunny and in the mid-fifties, so that should get rid of the rest of the snow.

This must be the year, James. here in North Carolina we got one snow twelve inches(three events in my area altogether) that equaled the last half dozen winters together.

It's been a tough winter for us and we got rather a meager amount compared to some other areas.

Gee, I just went out in shirt sleeves (next time I'll wear the rest of the shirt and pants) and enjoyed the springlike weather. Must be tough living somewhere other than the Pacific Northwest these days. Not that I'm lording it over anyone, heh-heh-heh.
