House Update
Livia has a couple of new photos up over on her blog. The porch goes almost all the way around the house, so I was thinking that when the weather is nice I can sit on the back porch in the morning and work, and in the afternoon I can sit on the front porch. We'll see how much work I get done that way, especially if I'm sitting in a comfortable chair.

I do like sitting on my deck and I've actually gotten some work done there, although the temptation to nap is always close by.
Laid down some track, install a small motor and wheels on a louge chair and a computer set to move the chair on the track around the house as the sun moves across the sky. You wouldn't have to get up except for the occasional calls of nature.
I get the idea you (and Charles)are aware of the dangers of that comfortable chair. For me, the equation "afternoon plus comfortable chair" equals a siesta these days, whether I plan it or not, and especially after a satisfying lunch!
My record is five naps in one day, but that was while we were on an actual vacation (as opposed to our usual vacations where I take the laptop along and write even more than when I'm at home). But I'm always up for a nap, and it's not just a geezer thing. I was the same way in college. (Of course, some people will tell you that I was already a geezer when I was in college.) In fact, I think I feel one coming on now . . .
The art of napping is something I fight strongly to preserve. An hour each day does me the world of good.
