Salt

In SALT, Angelina Jolie is a CIA agent who may or may not be a Russian sleeper agent. Lots of running, fighting, shooting, and impossibly over-the-top stunts. This movie also has a very convoluted plot, but you’ll probably see the big twist coming a mile away anyway. Despite that, I found it thoroughly entertaining.

I like Angie but I'm finding I'm passing on her newest films.

I've lost a lot of interest in Angelina as well; can't remember the last movie of hers I saw. I've been curious about seeing this flick, and just might yet.

I thought SALT was the best action movie I saw in 2010. I can't wait to see SALT II.

This one was fun. WANTED was atrocious, and THE TOURIST looks awful, but SALT was very pleasant.

Yeah, but it was pretty stupid, Todd.

Not only was the big "surprise" twist obvious to any mystery reader from the start, the end was just dumb.

WARNING (if you haven't seen it, etc.): If the evildoer left the President alive (which s/he did) wouldn't he just tell them who attacked him?

Duh!

I actually thought Salt was dull. Heaven forfend, Kevin Costner's No Way Out (which sorta kinda had a similar plot) was far better.

I just saw Red and thought it was a fun, funny action movie. Good popcorn flick. Not a "year's best" but fun, which is increasingly hard to find in the movies these days.

All I know is my favorite action movie of 2010 hits stores tomorrow:

MACHETE

Can't wait. A bloody, pulpy blast of fun, in my opinion. Heh.

As I recall, Jeff, the big flaw you cite was about to be taken care of by the villain, when he was interrupted...
