No pulp cover this morning, but I'll wish you all a Happy Easter with this installment of Stan Lynde's great comic strip RICK O'SHAY, which I read every Sunday morning with my dad when I was a kid. The ones featuring the gunfighter Hipshot Percussion were always my favorites. (Click on the image to read it.)

Happy Easter to you and yours, James. I read this strip, or one very much like it, when it originally ran in the Sunday funnies.
Wow, thanks, James, for posting this. I read "Rick O'Shay" in the Chicago Tribune as a kid in the '50s and early '60s. I loved that strip, and hadn't thought of it in a long time.
I read it for years, and the one that followed it, Latigo.
Thanks so much for this info. It is very helpful.
Well, that was brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, guys. RICK O'SHAY is one of my favorites because I read it with my dad, as I mentioned in the post, but our paper only ran the Sunday strips. When I read a collection of the dailies a few years ago, I thought they were great. It's one of the few things I loved in my childhood that not only holds up, now I think it was even better than I realized.
