In a lot of ways the Seventies were my best decade. I started it an unpopular senior in high school, ended it with a beautiful wife, a house, close to a million words of fiction published, and my first novel sold. I would sure miss all the technological advances we've made since then (such as the Internet that makes this blog possible), but as I told a friend recently, these days I find myself retreating more and more often in my Big Bubble o' Nostalgia.

When I was slogging my way through the 70s I never thought I would miss those years. Now I would love to go back.
I love America, they always sound good.

My salad days are the fifties through to 1960. I like this song, though.
