I'm sure there must have been some other air war covers on SHORT STORIES, but this one by Edgar F. Wittmack is the only one I recall coming across. It's a good one, too, very dramatic and colorful with that red sun in the background. There's a fine group of authors in this issue including Ernest Haycox, Hulbert Footner, Robert Carse, Tom Roan, Kenneth Perkins, Frank L. Packard, and Carson Mowre.
