Scott, Yes, we got married in Azle, at Ash Creek Baptist Church, founded 1871, where the first circuit-riding preacher delivered his sermons with a six-gun on either side of the Bible on the pulpit and the men all brought their rifles and shotguns to church in case of a raid by the Comanches. Our wedding shower was held in Fellowship Hall, built in 1898, and the reception after the ceremony was held there, too.
