In a sense, it was the only other magazine along with ASTOUNDING to help define a category of sf...unless we count the advocacy of cultism in both AMAZING and ASTOUNDING. We I'd be happy to discount.Todd Masonhttp://www.socialistjazz.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-73047850123818765072014-11-09T17:03:05.944-06:002014-11-09T17:03:05.944-06:00I now have two sets of PLANET STORIES, one that is...I now have two sets of PLANET STORIES, one that is too nice to read and one that I can read without worrying about the condition!Walker Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16089880902426182100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-19653192244565612312014-11-09T12:18:04.275-06:002014-11-09T12:18:04.275-06:00I see our hero is number 9...number 9... number 9....I see our hero is number 9...number 9... number 9...

That's a great cover, all right. Planet is one of my all time favorite SF pulps. It's about the size of the pulp, done on tissue paper in color. The finished cover painting must be around somewhere but so many were destroyed or lost over the years.

I like PLANET STORIES also; so much that I managed to be the winner bidder of the set owned by Frank Robinson. White pages and glossy covers. They look like they are just off the newsstand.Walker Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16089880902426182100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-29055109155222242502014-11-09T07:25:30.291-06:002014-11-09T07:25:30.291-06:00I miss the old days.I miss the old days.mybillcriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02350478005243505108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-55491412110270526822014-11-09T07:16:31.049-06:002014-11-09T07:16:31.049-06:00Excellent cover!
