I've been doing some research on Monogram Studios, but most of my reading lately has been about Bob Steele and his dad Robert Bradbury.Laurie Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10429604692700662254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-11836566574757082192009-11-01T18:42:34.725-06:002009-11-01T18:42:34.725-06:00I think a series of blog posts featuring Buck Jone...I think a series of blog posts featuring Buck Jones posters is a fine idea.

At least the first half-dozen or so Butcher books are by Dockery. I know because I've read them. There are probably more. Some of the books do take place in the U.S.

I actually have a copy of HOME SWEET HOMICIDE and hope to watch it soon.James Reasonerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18049917964433932612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-4882190522682719132009-11-01T17:42:04.648-06:002009-11-01T17:42:04.648-06:00Sounds like a gem. I heard there's a movie called HOME SWEET HOMICIDE (totally unrelated yet oddly connected to DAWN ON THE GREAT DIVIDE), which is supposed to be, as the young folks say, "the shit". Perhaps you'll somehow gain access to and share your thoughts about that movie someday.

B.Ritt

P.S. I'm loving KILL QUICK OR DIE. I'm on page 110. When I finish it I might ask if there are other books in the series written by Dockery that you'd recommend. I'm also wondering if any of Buchar's missions are in the U.S., or if he's a globe-trotter in all the books.Rittsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08145597443811879849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-51986363363268387252009-11-01T16:17:55.770-06:002009-11-01T16:17:55.770-06:00I've seen a few of Buck's films and liked ...I've seen a few of Buck's films and liked them fine, but what's impressed me most are his movie posters. Poster-for-poster, they present the most exciting art in cowboy film history. I've been meaning to run a series on them on my blog, and now that you and Bela have given old Buck a new breath of life, I suppose it's about time.Evan Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07620731784654779358noreply@blogger.com
