I thought it must've taken a good amount of nerve to do a long Christian storyline in a national strip, even back in the 70s!

Stan will be remembered well for a lot of accomplishments.

Adios, Mr. Lynde.Albie The Goodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10581327547260652201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-37542308261537398082013-08-08T11:19:55.317-05:002013-08-08T11:19:55.317-05:00A real loss. Our paper didn't carry the dailies, just the Sundays, so until I read the storylines reprinted in Stan's memoir I didn't know what good traditional Westerns they were. There's some fine hardboiled stuff in there, and some of the best use of light and shadow I've seen this side of Milton Caniff.James Reasonerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18049917964433932612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527967.post-51114151722007782252013-08-07T18:23:04.118-05:002013-08-07T18:23:04.118-05:00Me too. It's not here, of course, maybe never has been.
