Writing Update

Like yesterday, I only got to spend a couple of hours writing today. Did 1371 words. This pace won't get it done, but until all the real-world stuff going on settles down, I don't know what else I can do.

Heck, I think of 1000 words as a really good day.

Yeah, that sounded whinier than I meant for it to. I'm pretty pleased with the quality of the words themselves, I just want more of 'em.

I hate the real world. What a downer. It's like constantly waking up from a grand night of partying when you're 18 and at the height of your prowess.

Which reminds me of my favorite Ray Bradbury quote: "Stay drunk on writing so the real world can't destroy you." I would add stay drunk on cheap beer and bourbon, but that's just me...
