Joe Lansdale Podcast

As someone who's been fortunate enough to hear Joe Lansdale talk on numerous occasions, I can tell you that it's always entertaining and often informative. The same can be said of the podcast of Jeff Rutherford's recent interview with Joe. You can listen to it here, and I recommend that you do so. Joe's comments about the current state of the publishing business are especially interesting. Check it out.

Indeed. And he name-checks some Texas guys. A small technological glitch on the webbed version, as it tends to fade in and out at times (and the editing of the musical cues is, shall we say, eccentric). But the interview is good, even if the interviewer is clearly a little overwhelmed at the thought of actually having Lansdale as a guest.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Lansdale recently as we were both doing a book tour, and I just want to say that he is one heckuva nice guy with one heckuva lovely family. Sometimes, nice guys finish first.

I thought his ideas on publishing having gotten too big very interesting. Not sure if I agree, though.

Todd, unfortunately the technical glitch is due to recording these interview via Skype.

The set-up for recording regular phone calls - in high audio quality - is hugely expensive. So, for now, I do the interviews via Skype - with the obvious downside of the occasional audio fades. Glad you enjoyed the interview.
